New Catholic Elementary School Coming to the Fernbank Community
A new Catholic elementary school is opening in the Fernbank Community! The school is located at 620 Triangle Street, and will serve Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. The new school will offer French Immersion programming. Extended Day Programs for Before & After School care and a Pre-School Childcare Centre have also been proposed. This new school is currently scheduled to open for the 2027-2028 school year.
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the OCSB Board of Trustees approved the new Fernbank North Catholic Elementary School Attendance Boundary and associated boundary revisions to St. Martin De Porres and St. Stephen elementary schools. These changes will go into effect upon the opening date of the new school, currently scheduled to open in September 2027.
JK to Grade 6 students attending St. Martin De Porres and St. Stephen elementary schools, who reside within the Approved New Fernbank North Catholic Elementary School boundary, will be relocated in a full block move to the new school.
