Discover our School
Our school respectfully acknowledges that we are located on the ancestral, traditional and unceded Indigenous territory of the Algonquin Peoples,
on whose territory we pray, learn, play and work.
The OCSB acknowledges the suffering experienced by Indigenous peoples in Canada's Residential Schools and is committed to Truth and Reconciliation. Read the OCSB Response to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action to learn more.

St. Martin de Porres Dress Code
Students are to come to school appropriately dressed, ready to learn, with proper attention given to personal cleanliness, grooming, and neatness and in keeping with a positive school environment:
FOOTWEAR
Two pairs of shoes are required: one pair for indoor wear, and one pair for outdoor wear. Indoor running shoes are required for Physical Education class.
INDOOR SHOES
Students must have a pair of indoor shoes to wear at school, at all times. These may be left in the cloakroom. It is critical the children have shoes on at all times, given the possibility of a fire alarm or another emergency. Children utilizing the gym must have proper footwear, and indoor shoes need to have non-marking soles.
LOST AND FOUND
Personal belongings should be labeled with the student's first and last name. Lost articles may be found in the "Lost and Found" box located at the office.
Spiritual Theme
The OCSB's spiritual theme for 2024-2027 is: We are called to open doors, build bridges, and nourish new beginnings. It is rooted in Revelation 3:20, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock…”
In each of the next three school years, our school will focus on a different aspect of the Spiritual Theme: Opening doors, Building bridges, and Nourishing new beginnings.
Transportation
All school bus transportation is provided by the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA). Visit the Transportation page of the OCSB website for more information
